Bringing The Dance Summer School to Ireland has been a long-term desire that is finally a reality!​

With over 16 years of experience organising dance summer schools, the internationally recognised The Dance Summer School organisation (TDSS) is finally coming to the Republic of Ireland with 

The Dance Summer School in Ireland!​

We have been celebrating dance since 2007, and every year we welcome a community of young dance students passionate about dance. With its outstanding training, innovative approach to dance education, and convenient booking system, it's no wonder our courses have been a top choice for young and pre-vocational dancers in our venues, including Scotland and Greece.​

​

Our programmes provide a unique opportunity to attend an intensive week of high quality dance training under the guidance of our highly experienced and creative team. This, alongside a fabulous entertainment programme, has motivated many of our participants to return each year.​

​

The success of our events is made possible by bringing together a faculty from a wide range of professional backgrounds. These include principals, vice-principals and heads of departments in professional colleges, examiners/lecturers for the ISTD, creators of syllabi for the ISTD in the Ballet, Modern and Tap faculties, ex and current professional dancers working at soloist level, and choreographers.

Our effort is focused on furthering the students' technical and artistic development.​ To achieve this, all the lessons for students are based on free work, and our entertainment programme consolidates the formula that makes The Dance Summer School, according to many previous participants, an unmissable experience to attend!

Dance students with intermediate/advanced profiles or vocational aspirations will receive advice from our faculty to help them understand the process to apply to Dance Colleges in the UK.​ 

Participants from our previous summer schools have successfully been accepted into vocational programmes at The Ailey School (NYC), Morea Performing Arts, Elmhurst Ballet School, Central School of Ballet, Ecole de Danse de Genève, Tring Park School, The Royal Conservatoire

of Scotland, the Sacramento State University (USA), the SUNY Purchase College (NY USA), the English National Ballet School, and other prestigious colleges in the UK and Europe.

Furthermore, The Dance Summer School in Ireland is not only for young people and students. The door of our event is also open to dance teachers looking for more opportunities to observe (or attend) lessons and refine their teaching strategies.

With our fantastic team of chaperones and first aiders who supervise the course 24/7, from accommodating different catering needs, to advising on travel logistics, our participants' well-being and individual needs are cared for.

We create a fun and safe learning environment for everybody attending the course and we look forward to welcoming you.
